The new factory, with an area of ​​26,000 square meters, will have a production area that is 50% larger than BorgWarner's currently rented plant in Valença and will leave enough room for future expansion.
By opening a new plant in Portugal, BorgWarner has begun further expansion of its diesel cold start technology products. BorgWarner's Exhaust Gas Recirculation Technology (ERG) technology can reduce the combustion temperature by recirculating and cooling the exhaust gas, thereby reducing nitrogen oxide emissions.
