Eaton Again Joins Hands with Famous Universities in China to Promote China's Technological Innovation Cooperation

Diversified industrial product manufacturer Eaton has recently signed R&D funding agreements with Beijing Institute of Technology and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to jointly develop advanced technologies to advance the development of its core business.

Eaton will cooperate with Beijing Institute of Technology on a number of research and development areas, including mechanical and electrical, especially transportation engineering, and will focus on China and global electric vehicle technology. At the same time, Eaton will cooperate with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics on power conversion technology, simulation technology, and distribution technology for civil and commercial aircraft power systems.

Lennart Jonsson, executive vice president and chief technology officer of Eaton, recently visited the two universities and signed the relevant cooperation agreement personally. He said: “We are very pleased to cooperate with two Chinese universities in these core innovation fields. The organic combination of Eaton’s industry-leading experience and the expertise of these two leading universities has convinced us that this cooperation will be a technology for China. Innovation and talent development provide better space."

Eaton has conducted extensive R&D cooperation with a number of domestic universities. In addition to this new cooperation with Beijing Institute of Technology and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Eaton Corporation and Zhejiang University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Shanghai Jiaotong University , Harbin Institute of Technology and South China University of Technology have carried out a number of project cooperation.

Lennart Jonsson said: “Eaton is not only committed to expanding its local R&D capabilities, but also strengthening cooperation with Chinese universities through the establishment of research and development funds, knowledge sharing, etc. We hope that we can use this approach to enhance partners’ R&D capabilities and attract more. More local talent."
