Green Tech receives 21 exhaust gas cleaning system orders

A few days ago, Norwegian Green Tech undertook a contract for 21 exhaust gas cleaning systems for an unnamed shipowner. The exhaust gas cleaning system ordered this time will be delivered during the first quarter of 2015.

According to the Norwegian Green Technology Marine Company, the use of these exhaust gas cleaning systems will help shipowners burn heavy oil operations instead of burning more costly marine light diesel oil while maintaining a lower than rigorous International Maritime Organization (IMO) sulfur emissions. These exhaust gas cleaning systems will replace the ship's silencer. According to the Norwegian Green Technology Marine Company, these small-sized exhaust gas cleaning systems do not take up valuable passenger, crew or cargo space. Because these exhaust gas cleaning systems are lightweight, they do not affect the stability of the ship.
