How to choose the right lubricant product

Automotive lubricants are indispensable items for automobiles. Without lubricants, the cylinders of automobiles will be seriously worn out and affect the performance of the engine. Therefore, for the healthy running of the automobile, it is necessary to use lubricants rationally. Of course, the selection of lubricants is different in different seasons. Let's take a look at the selection of lubricants in winter car maintenance.

How can we choose the right lubricant for the car?

The drop in temperature during the winter season is more obvious. Common lubricating oil products become thicker and less fluid at low temperatures, which leads to a longer time for the lubrication parts to be required, which makes the vehicle less easy to start and wear. Therefore, in the winter season, it is best to choose a lubricant with a low base oil viscosity and low pour point so that it can continue to provide good lubrication to the car engine.

So what kind of lubricant should you choose? Generally choose winter and summer general oil for more appropriate, and then in accordance with their own circumstances and then brush.

First of all, the choice of lubricant should be based on the requirements of the engine. Neither can the engine be used on a less demanding engine and the lower engine oil on a more demanding engine. The choice of lubricating oil can be increased by one level on the basis of manufacturer's recommendation, or the performance of synthetic oil can be better.

Second, we should try our best to choose a common motor oil for winter and summer. Universal oil can maintain a stable lubrication performance regardless of temperature changes, and plays a better protective role for the engine.

Again, it depends on the condition of the engine. If the engine is new or in good condition, use less viscous oils such as 0W-40, 5W-40, and 10W-40 as much as possible to make the oil flow faster and reduce wear on startup.

Finally, if it is in the hot season or the engine has been worn to a certain extent, we must use high viscosity oil, such as 15W-50, which is conducive to the formation of a thick oil film, maintain the pressure of the oil, and reduce oil consumption.

After selecting the lubricant, how to add it is another knowledge. Here are some precautions for adding lubricant.

The more oil is not added, the better. If the lubricating oil is too much, it will increase the crankshaft's resistance to rotation, reduce the engine's output power, and those excessive oil will enter the combustion chamber combustion, causing the vehicle to burn oil, smoke blue smoke, so that fuel consumption increases. After the combustion of the oil, the residue will accumulate on the wall of the combustion chamber, reducing the space of the combustion chamber, thereby reducing the compression ratio of the engine; at the same time, it will also accelerate the wear of the cylinder and the piston, thereby reducing the service life of the vehicle. Therefore, when adding lubricating oil, it must be kept slightly lower than the maximum scale of the oil dipstick; in addition, it is necessary to grasp the oil model, oil change season, engine performance and many other factors.
