The 12th Five-Year Plan for High-end Equipment Manufacturing was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The plan proposes that by 2015, the sales value of high-end equipment will account for more than 20% of the equipment manufacturing industry, and the annual sales value will reach 6 trillion yuan. The key directions of the plan include five fields: aviation equipment, marine engineering equipment, rail transportation equipment, satellite manufacturing equipment and applications, and intelligent manufacturing equipment. Yao Zhen said: "High-end equipment is the foundation and key to promote the transformation and upgrading of industrialization, is the strategic choice to seize the commanding heights of future economic and technological development, is an important engine to promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, or cultivate a solid foundation for the development of strategic emerging industries."
