Foreign advanced diesel engine technologies such as high pressure injection, supercharged intercooler, variable section supercharger, four-valve technology, electronically controlled fuel injection technology, emission control technology, etc. have been promoted and applied in China, and the power and fuel consumption rate of diesel engines The emission performance, reliability and other indicators have been greatly improved, and the transition from traditional mechanical products to mechanical and electronic technology products has begun. However, compared with the advanced level of Europe and the United States, there is still a big gap, mainly because there is no core technology for diesel engines. For example, the technology of electronic fuel injection systems is still monopolized by foreign companies. The independent research and development and innovation capabilities are still weak, and product development mainly relies on cooperation with foreign design companies. In addition, although the passenger car diesel engine has been developed, it has not been put on the market, and is only used on some low-end light buses and SUVs.

In the past few years, the domestic diesel engine industry has developed rapidly, but it should be clearly recognized that although the domestic diesel engine production scale is very large, the technical level of most domestic diesel engine products is still low, and the research and development strength of domestic diesel engine enterprises is still weak. Most of the research and development of new products relies on foreign companies, so China is currently only a major manufacturing country for diesel engines, and it is not a manufacturing power.

Electronic control fuel injection technology made a breakthrough

The international diesel engine-controlled fuel injection system is developed and produced by a strong professional production plant, such as Bosch in Germany, Denso in Japan, and Delphi in the United States. In the past, there was no domestic component manufacturer capable of developing and producing electronically controlled fuel injection systems. Fortunately, in recent years, China has made major breakthroughs in the development of the weakest diesel-electric fuel-controlled fuel injection system technology, such as Chengdu Witt. In 2004, EFI and Tsinghua University successfully developed an electronically controlled unit pump system with independent property rights. In the same year, it began to provide complete sets of products for heavy-duty vehicles. Now it has provided thousands of sets of products and became the first in China. The enterprises that produce diesel electromechanical fuel injection system products have broken the monopoly of foreign companies. FAW Group Wuxi Oil Pump Nozzle Research Institute has successfully developed its first generation of electronically controlled common rail fuel injection system with independent property rights, but it has not yet been applied commercially.
