Caterpillar China launches two upgraded model bulldozers

Caterpillar announced the launch of two upgraded track-type tractors D6GXL and D7G Series 2 (D6G2XL and D7G2) in China and produced in Xuzhou, China. The D6G2XL and D7G2 dozers expand the range of vision of the operator, with a new look, reliable performance, high productivity, and superior durability and performance to reduce machine purchase and operating costs. The main components of the engine, drive train and undercarriage of the two models are designed and manufactured by Caterpillar.
Proven power

The proven Cat® 3306 six-cylinder diesel engine delivers smooth, responsive power, excellent fuel economy and exceptional reliability. Designed for small and medium-sized bulldozers, this engine features excellent balance characteristics, low vibration levels and agile response. A torque reserve of 18%-24% means that the operator has more thrust when facing heavy loads. The high-efficiency and high-pressure direct injection fuel system requires no adjustment, which greatly reduces maintenance time and fuel consumption and reduces emissions. The Cat® 3306 engine has the best power specific gravity, which reduces the duty cycle and makes the shovel load capacity even greater. For specific models, the engine can maintain a specific power at altitudes up to 4,100 meters (13,500 feet) without reducing power. Engine maintenance has also been fully considered, vertical installation, access to the access port, spin-on oil, fuel filter, oil and water separator.

The engine can be refurbished and reused. Buying genuine Cat parts can cost-effectively replace many parts for longer life.

Exclusive Cat® torque splitter

The Model 3306 engine is directly connected to a Cat single-stage torque converter with an output torque splitter for smooth, efficient output. The oil-water cooler uses a full-flow filtered engine oil to cool the torque converter.

The configuration of the torque splitter is unique to Caterpillar. When performing lower engine load functions, such as trench backfilling or paving materials, the power directly drives the output, increasing efficiency and outputting doubled torque. The torque splitter delivers 70% of the engine torque through the torque converter and 30% of the engine torque through the planetary gearing coupled to the output shaft. The torque converter is easily removed by means of two universal joints with a proven planetary power shift transmission with three forward gears and three reverse gears.

Durable undercarriage

The D6G2XL and D7G2 dozers feature the world-renowned Caterpillar undercarriage for optimum performance and longest wear life. The standard track on both models features a sealed and lubricated chain link, and the tracked pin is lubricated around the track pin, eliminating internal bushing wear and greatly reducing maintenance. The lubricant is held by a structure consisting of a polyurethane seal, a rubber carrier ring and a thrust ring. In addition, advanced metallurgical processes extend the life of the bushings and drive sprocket blocks. Modular drive sprocket blocks are standard and are easier to repair and have lower replacement costs than replacing the entire drive sprocket hub. The track link is "wide", which enhances durability and is not easily damaged. The optional full length guard prevents the wear of foreign objects from entering the carrier roller.

Users who are looking for better balance, efficient dozing and fine leveling capabilities can choose between these two models; they come standard with longer tracks.

Work tool

The parallelogram multi-column ripper supports the three-column ripper on the D6G2XL and D7G2, allowing the operator to perform more efficient loosening operations. From angle shovel to straight shovel, there are a variety of dozer blades available, as well as the new SU shovel, which has the same strong boring force as a straight shovel, while the winglets on both sides increase the ability of the shovel to hold material. This type of shovel is a natural choice if you need a bulldozer that can both flexibly and accurately unload and efficiently perform difficult earthmoving operations.

New cab and console

The operator station is a spacious, open operating area with multiple standards and optional features. All controls are within reach, and the operator feels comfortable even when working all day. The gearbox features a "continuous" shift pattern.

To minimize interference with foot brakes and reducer operation, the pedals are suspended rather than raised on the floor to prevent mud or other obstructions from interfering with machine operation. The well-positioned footrest adds comfort to any slope operation of the operator.

Choose a cab without anti-roll protection and a great view of work tools and tracks.

An optional factory-installed, one-piece air conditioner will provide the operator with a comfortable working environment throughout the day. The air conditioner has a unique heating and cooling function, cooling in summer, heating and defrosting in winter. The vents are ventilated to ventilate the air in the console. The pressurized cab prevents dust from entering.

The D6G2XL has a working weight of 16,880 kg and a net flywheel power of 119 kW (160 hp). The D7G2 has a working weight of 20,580 kg and a net flywheel power of 150 kW (202 hp).

Optional equipment available for the D6G2XL and D7G2 dozers includes engine cover; 610 mm (24 in) single spur seal lubricated track, angle shovel, straight shovel with tilting cylinder, SU shovel with tilting cylinder, multi-column ripper, Rigid traction frame, heating and air conditioning.
