Drilling Motors

Oil Field Equipment Downhole Motor is a type of mud-powered downhole tool. It consists of five main parts: drive shaft assembly, universal shaft assembly, motor assembly, anti-out assembly, and bypass valve assembly. The motor uses the flow of drilling fluid through the bypass valve to generate mechanical energy. This process allows the rotor to rotate, which in turn drives the drill bit via the universal shaft and drive shaft.

Drilling Motor Structure Assembly
Drilling motors are positive displacement motors (PDMs). High-pressure drilling fluid enters the motor, converting hydraulic power into mechanical energy that rotates the rotor and ultimately the drill bit.

Classification

1. Bent Housing Motor
We offer fixed bend motors, single bend motors, double bend motors, and adjustable bend housing motors (with an adjustable angle ranging from 0° to 3°), which can be tailored for different wellbore directional requirements.

2. High Temperature Motor
Our drilling motors operate within temperature ranges of ≤120°C, 120–150°C, and 150–175°C, making them suitable for various well conditions, including extremely harsh environments.

3. Hollow Rotor Motor
To enhance hydraulic horsepower and increase the upward velocity of the mud stream, the rotor is designed as a hollow structure with nozzles. This design ensures that the total flow rate equals the sum of the flow through the seal cavity and the rotor itself.

4. Even Wall Motor
Even wall motors improve the impact resistance and deformation resistance of the inner rubber surface of the stator housing. They also prevent issues like rubber aging and rubber drop during the vulcanization process, ensuring better performance and longer service life. Under the same pressure drop, the motor size can be reduced, and the kick-off rate of the mud motor can be improved.

5. Rotor Coating Technology
Standard chrome plating is available upon request. We also offer tungsten carbide coating on the rotor surface, allowing the rotor to function effectively in saturated saltwater mud and preventing corrosion of chrome-plated rotors in such environments.
