Drilling Motors
Oil Field Equipment Downhole Motor is a type of mud-powered downhole tool. It consists of five main components: drive shaft assembly, universal shaft assembly, motor assembly, anti-out assembly, and bypass valve assembly. The mud flows through the bypass valve into the motor, generating mechanical energy that drives the rotor to rotate. This rotation is then transferred through the universal shaft and drive shaft to the drill bit.Drilling Motor Structure Assembly
Drilling motors are positive displacement motors (PDM). High-pressure drilling fluid enters the motor, converting hydraulic power into mechanical energy, which causes the rotor to rotate and drive the drill bit.
Classification
1. Bent Housing Motor
We offer fixed bend motors, single bend motors, double bend motors, and adjustable bend housing motors with an adjustable angle ranging from 0 to 3 degrees, meeting various directional drilling requirements.
2. High Temperature Motor
These motors operate in temperature ranges up to 120°C, 120-150°C, and 150-175°C, making them suitable for extreme well conditions.
3. Hollow Rotor Motor
To enhance hydraulic horsepower and increase the upward velocity of the mud stream, the rotor is designed as a hollow structure with nozzles. This allows the total flow rate to be the sum of the flow through the seal cavity and the rotor.
4. Even Wall Motor
This design improves the impact resistance and deformation resistance of the stator's inner rubber surface, preventing issues like rubber aging and shedding during vulcanization. As a result, it ensures better performance and longer service life. Under the same pressure drop, the motor size can be reduced, and the kick-off rate of the mud motor can be improved.
5. Rotor Coating Technology
We can apply regular chrome coating or Tungsten carbide coating on the rotor surface. The latter enables the rotor to function properly in saturated saltwater mud and prevents corrosion in such environments.
