Elevator compensation chain description
The elevator compensation chain is widely used in elevators to ensure smooth operation. It is constructed with a PVC-rubber composite wire rope that compensates for the weight difference between the elevator car and the counterweight.
When the elevator is at the top floor, the wire rope is on the heavy side, and when it's at the bottom, the wire rope is on the car side. This creates an imbalance that the compensation chain helps to manage, ensuring smoother movement and better performance.
By balancing this weight difference, the compensation chain improves the overall efficiency and safety of the elevator system. It is especially useful for elevators operating at speeds between 1.75m/s and 3m/s, as it reduces noise and enhances stability.
