Rexel Energy Solutions and ChargeLab help Canadian businesses save 50% on EV charger installations through ZEVIP

**TORONTO, August 1, 2024** – Rexel Energy Solutions (RES), a division of Nedco, has teamed up with ChargeLab to assist Canadian enterprises in securing up to 50% of the funding required for purchasing and installing new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. This financial aid comes from the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP), managed by Natural Resources Canada. Applications under ZEVIP became accessible on July 2, 2024, and will conclude on September 19, 2024. This marks the first wave of ZEVIP grants available to EV charger providers since 2022. Eligibility extends to Canadian businesses, utilities, municipalities, condominium corporations, and other hosts who plan to install at least two direct current (DC) fast chargers or twenty Level 2 chargers. The grant covers up to half of the total project costs, with each organization eligible for a maximum of $5 million. Rexel Energy Solutions, a comprehensive service provider under Nedco—one of Canada's top electrical wholesalers—specializes in EV chargers, smart building controls, and other energy-efficient products. RES offers end-to-end services including design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of EV charging infrastructure. In collaboration with ChargeLab, RES now provides specialized ZEVIP services such as consultations, EV charger hardware recommendations, and guidance on submitting compliant applications. RES carries leading EV charger brands like ABB, Zerova, and Wallbox, all of which are compatible with ChargeLab’s network management tools. ChargeLab develops network management software for EV chargers, allowing businesses to deploy, monetize, and oversee their charging hardware seamlessly. ZEVIP mandates that chargers be connected to a network, a task ChargeLab simplifies for its clients. Additionally, ChargeLab has crafted reports tailored to meet the program’s new uptime monitoring requirements. “RES and ChargeLab together deliver an unparalleled package for those pursuing ZEVIP funds,” noted Zak Lefevre, ChargeLab’s CEO. “Our team offers strategic advice, compliant hardware and software solutions, along with robust grant-writing assistance.” RES and ChargeLab urge potential applicants to reach out before August 30, 2024, to ensure ample preparation time ahead of the submission deadline. ZEVIP is a competitive initiative overseen by Natural Resources Canada. Neither RES nor ChargeLab acts as a delivery agent for NRCan, nor do they affect the ZEVIP selection process.
