Ricardo Signs New Engine Design Contract with Weichai Power in China

Weichai Power is a leading large-scale engine manufacturer in China's commercial vehicles, non-road vehicles, ships and power generation markets. Mr. Tan Xuguang, Chairman of Weichai Power, and Mr. Dave Shemmans, CEO of Ricardo, and Mr. Deng Siming, President of Ricardo Asia Pacific, attended and signed the contract. Ricardo will work with Weichai on an in-line six-cylinder to V16 variant. A preliminary concept study of the new engine series within the configuration range. The goal of the new engine is to achieve international competitiveness in terms of performance, fuel consumption, durability and cost.
