CNC machine tool alarm repair example

Symptom: A CNC machine tool supporting the OKUMA OSP700, type XHAD765, displays the “2870 Rotary Table Clamp Detector Abnormal” when the turntable is turned on after the power is turned on in the morning, and the table is raised to the rotation preparation position.
Analysis and processing: after reset, the alarm is cleared. According to the contents of the alarm should check the rotary table clamping switch, because the turntable is normal before the indexing, according to experience, the author doubts its accuracy. In the MDI mode, the M20 workbench clamp command is executed. After the workbench falls, the alarm goes up. After careful observation, it is found that the workbench is falling slowly. Therefore, it is suspected that the drop time is overtime and the alarm occurs; let two people stand on the workbench and execute the M20. The instruction, the workbench fell noticeably faster and no longer alarmed, confirming the judgment.
When the turret is designed to rise, the hydraulic cylinder compression turret clamping spring lifts the turret, and the oil in the hydraulic cylinder is squeezed out by the spring force during clamping, and the hydraulic cylinder of the urging table is plugged to throttle, the spring force becomes smaller, the oil viscosity Increases in both will cause the oil flow rate to slow down and cause the turntable to fall out of time. Allow the machine to heat for 10 minutes, during which the M20 and M21 commands are executed continuously, and then the hydraulic oil temperature rises and then the turntable is normal. As the weather turned cold, the hydraulic oil became thicker as the temperature dropped, and the oil in the hydraulic cylinder could not be discharged in time, causing an overtime alarm.


Symptoms: A CNC machine tool supporting the FANUC OMC, type XH754, is not allowed to turn the table back to zero, and the worktable is skewed after being returned to zero.
Analysis and processing: This type of failure is usually caused by a defective turntable switch, loosening of the stroke block, or loosening of the switch. After turning off, turn the side cover of the turntable to open, press the stroke switch normally by hand, check the normal pressure block, check the switch seat is normal, and estimate the change of the switch of the stroke switch. Turn the switch stand in the correct direction to adjust the distance and turn it on. The fault is eliminated.

Symptoms: A CNC machine tool supporting FANUC OMC, type XH754, has a clear movement and a large sound when the turntable is indexed and dropped.
Analysis and processing process: The dislocation is obvious when the turntable indexes after dropping, which means that the indexing position of the turntable is different from the positioning position of rat gear plate; if the position at the time of zero return is also at the same time, the 4th axis grid offset can be adjusted. Amount (parameter 0511) to solve: If there is a gap in the turntable drive, the fourth axis clearance compensation (parameter 0538) can be adjusted; if there is an error in the mechanical pitch, the fourth axis compensation is adjusted accordingly. In this example, it was found that after the turntable returned to zero, there was also an error. After adjusting the value of 0511, it was resolved.
