Indonesia's PT Titan restarted its polyethylene (PE) production facility last week after the arrival of ethylene feedstock.
Due to the shortage of raw materials for ethylene, the company closed the PE device in early March. The company has three switchable production units. The total annual production capacity of HDPE or LLDPE is 450,000 tons. It is reported that PT Titan will be able to keep the device started in April, but the operating rate will be reduced. Currently, the company is looking for raw materials for ethylene shipments in May at a price of US$1,000/tonne (CFR, Indonesia).
