Last year, the production of raw salt was 24.92 million tons, an increase of 6.6%, of which 24.18 million tons of sea salt production, an increase of 6.4%; original salt sales of 24.72 million tons, an increase of 3.1%; production of salt chemical products 362,000 tons, sales of 336,000 tons, respectively, growth 5.7% and 5.1%. According to the person in charge of the Shandong Salt Industry Department, in view of the serious shortage of water resources in the Bohai Rim region, the province tried to use advanced technology to solve the issue of seawater desalination and achieve win-win development in the salt industry and seawater desalination industry.
