Application of Spiral Chute:
The spiral chute is a gravity separation device used for separating different proportions of non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic minerals. It is commonly used for materials such as iron ore, gold ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrites, zircon, rutile, monazite, phosphorite, tungsten ore, tin, tantalum, niobium ore, and more.
Working Principle:
The spiral chute operates under the combined forces of water flow, gravity, inertial centrifugal force, and friction. Slurry is pumped to the top of the spiral and distributed evenly through a feed distributor to each spiral concentrator. The spiral's design and shape work in conjunction with gravitational acceleration. As the slurry moves down the spiral, mineral grains settle and sort based on size, density, and to a lesser extent, shape. Low-density particles are carried by the water toward the outer edge of the spiral, while high-density particles move toward the inner part of the spiral.
