(223800) Three 6L-48/5 .75 type non-lubricated air compressors of our company's float nitrogen oxide station operate The cycle is long and the quality of the cooling water used is not so good, so the intercooler and aftercooler cores are often filled with scale, which results in a much reduced cooling effect on the compressed air, especially in summer. Our company has a lot of brains and tried many methods. Here is one of the feasible descaling methods - pickling.

1. Principle of pickling method Since copper is an inactive metal, it hardly reacts in hydrochloric acid solution, but its alloy and oxide can react with hydrochloric acid solution. In order to prevent and reduce this, it is added when preparing hydrochloric acid solution. A proper amount of corrosion inhibitor prevents and slows the solution from corroding the copper tube. The main component of the scale and the hydrochloric acid solution will react rapidly to form a substance dissolved in water, thereby achieving the descaling effect.

2. The pickling process is first formulated with an acid wash solution using 5 hydrochloric acid 0. 08 aniline 0.1 formaldehyde.

Place the cooler core vertically on the flat surface, and then directly inject the prepared acid into each copper tube for 10-20 minutes. Use an iron brush with a diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the copper tube to remove the residue and then pour out the solution from all the copper tubes. Cycle back and forth until the scale is removed. Finally, inject the 0.1% NaOH solution into the copper tube and circulate it twice. After a few minutes, let it go and rinse it off with water.

3. Leak test and pressure test The hand pump shown in the figure below is equipped with a pressure gauge to display the pressure. Press the handle and fill the cooler core until the pressure reaches the required test pressure of 4.5 Kgf/cm 2 for 30 minutes. Check the copper tube for water-free bead leakage. If there is no water seepage, it will be qualified. Otherwise, tube replacement and expansion must be performed.

4. When changing the tube and the expansion tube, when replacing the leaking copper tube, firstly, the copper tube that seeps at the interface is manually expanded by the tube expander. After the expansion, the pressure test leak is performed until the test pressure requirement is met, so that no water leakage occurs.

Our company's three 6L-48/5 .75 non-lubricated air compressors have a total of 12 cooler cores, and at least 4 to 6 demolitions are required each year. According to the current market survey, it is known that a new cooler core is about 7,000 yuan, and it takes only a few tens of dollars to repair a core. The money saved by the descaling repair to the company is considerable. Using the above pickling method, our company has successfully washed the cores of the three coolers, and the effect is very good, which strongly supports the production.
