It was Sunday morning, December 9th, 2018. A mattress warehouse that was fully sprinklered and clad in metal. The initial call came in via an automatic alarm, I believe. From the outside, there wasn’t much to see, but it was interesting to watch Truck 26 do some aggressive ventilation using the aerial ladder, along with some cutting work on the side of the building.

It’s always fascinating to see how crews operate under pressure, especially when dealing with structures that are not typical residential buildings. The use of the aerial ladder for ventilation was pretty intense, and the saw work showed the crew’s preparedness.
