ChargeLab successfully migrates Enel X Way EV chargers

Last week, ChargeLab made a significant announcement offering to migrate commercial Enel X Way devices to our OCPP backend for managing EV chargers. This week, I’m excited to share that we’ve successfully completed the migration of dozens of Enel X Way chargers onto our network. Given the recent uncertainty in the EV charging software sector, we felt it was important to provide further details about this process. To give you a better understanding of how this migration works, check out the video below where our CEO, Zak Lefevre, walks us through one of the recently migrated sites: [Embedded YouTube Video] --- ### Technical Challenges Unfortunately, Enel X Way commercial EV chargers in the field aren’t straightforward OCPP devices that can easily be redirected to a third-party backend. These chargers require a complex reconfiguration process before they can connect to a new charging station management system (CSMS). So far, ChargeLab stands out as one of the few commercial CSMS providers capable of migrating JuiceBox Pro chargers by the October 11th deadline. If you're speaking with another OCPP provider about migrating Enel X Way chargers, make sure they've successfully done so in the past few days and fully grasp all the intricacies involved. --- ### ChargeLab's Solution Thanks to the hard work of ChargeLab’s engineering team, we discovered a reliable way to migrate commercial Enel X Way chargers quickly. The migration involves backend work from ChargeLab along with on-site configuration steps that can be carried out by a technician using just a laptop or smartphone. Here are some images from a condo building in Toronto during and after the migration: [Image Gallery] For site hosts managing commercial EV chargers, post-migration, you’ll log into the ChargeLab dashboard instead of the legacy Enel X Way portal. Through the ChargeLab dashboard, you can set up pricing rules, restrict access, implement power management, generate reports, and monitor your EV chargers around the clock. ChargeLab’s platform includes customizable notifications to alert you if anything goes wrong with your chargers, along with AI-driven preventive maintenance. [Dashboard Comparison Image] For EV drivers, after the migration, you’ll transition from the Enel X Way app to the ChargeLab web app. ChargeLab offers iOS and Android apps under our brand and several white-label partnerships. We were also pioneers of the industry’s first and best web app, allowing you to charge directly from your mobile browser without needing to download any apps. We anticipate adding thousands more to our migration pipeline throughout this week. Thanks to the incredible efforts of our engineering, operations, and support teams, we still have the capacity to take on more chargers this week. If you’re interested in getting started, feel free to reach out to us. --- ### Contacts For inquiries or to start the migration process, please call us at: **1 (800) 636-0986 ext. 210** We’re here to help every step of the way!
