Gary Fire Department update

This message is from Eric Haak:

Several of the Gary Fire Department's stations have recently received new indicator placards as part of their transition to the consolidated Lake County dispatch system. The numbers assigned are 86 at Headquarters, 87 on Squad 2, 89 on Engine 4, 96 on Engine 11, 97 on Engine 12, and 98 on Engine 13. As of November 7th, the other active stations didn't have these new signs, and I'm not sure if they will get them in the future. I'll be sharing photos of those in a separate post.
Keep in mind, I’m not an official source or someone with inside knowledge—I'm just a regular observer who enjoys taking photos and following the department’s changes. If you have questions about unit assignments or reasons behind the changes, there are definitely others more qualified to answer. Just thought I’d mention that the Engine 9 seen in the headquarters bay was actually operating as Engine 1 on Saturday (November 7th) for anyone who might have noticed. It was a nice day for some pictures, so I figured I'd share what I saw.
The overall scene was pretty quiet—mostly medical calls and no structure fires. It's interesting to see how things are evolving with the new system, and I’ll keep an eye out for any updates.
