Wheeling firefighters were called to 298 Tilbury Lane in Whippletree Village just before 3 a.m. on Monday, April 18, 2016. Upon arrival, units reported a fire in a mobile home and upgraded the incident to a working fire, designated as Code 4. The flames were quickly brought under control within 10 minutes, and firefighters remained on site for an additional hour conducting overhaul to ensure the fire was completely out. Mutual aid units arrived from Buffalo Grove, Arlington Heights, and Northbrook to assist with the response. I arrived on scene just after the 10-minute mark.
