Working fire in Chicago, 7/9/17

Here are a few photos from a working fire that took place on Sunday morning, July 9th. I was about four miles away when I first saw the thick smoke rising from the house. It was clear that the fire department responded quickly and efficiently to tackle the attic fire.

These images give a real sense of the intensity and quick response of the firefighters. It's always impressive to see how they work together under pressure. The photos also show the different stages of the incident, from the initial arrival to the overhaul phase. A great reminder of the dedication and professionalism of our local emergency services.
