Songpu successfully developed new composite processing machine

Matsuura Machinery Co., Ltd. unveiled its latest innovation, the "CUBLEX-25," during the INTERMOLD2006 exhibition held at Index Osaka on April 12, 2006. This new composite machining system combines the functions of a multi-tasking machine with a vertical lathe and adds a grinding capability, allowing for a more efficient and integrated production process. The machine is designed to perform both turning and grinding operations in a single setup, significantly reducing cycle times and improving precision. The CUBLEX-25 features a structure similar to a 5-axis controlled machining center (MC), but it introduces a spinning function that enhances its versatility. The spindle can move along the X, Y, and Z axes, while the worktable allows rotation through the B and C axes. This enables simultaneous five-axis milling, as well as rotary cutting comparable to both horizontal and vertical rotary tables, depending on the axis used. A key feature of the CUBLEX-25 is the direct drive motor (DD motor) on the C-axis, which can reach a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm. This high-speed capability plays a crucial role in enabling the grinding function. By rotating the spindle and the C-axis in opposite directions, the relative rotational speed between them can reach up to 18,000 rpm. This allows for precise and efficient grinding, with the grinding tool mounted on the main spindle. Coolant is used during both cutting and grinding operations to ensure optimal performance and tool life. Although the company did not display the full machine at the event, they showcased several complex cylindrical workpieces that demonstrated the machine's capabilities. These parts featured intricate internal tapers, outer contours, and engraved characters, all processed using five-axis simultaneous movement. Additionally, internal grooves were created through rotary cutting, highlighting the machine’s advanced functionality and precision. The CUBLEX-25 was scheduled for release in the fall of 2006, marking a significant step forward in the integration of multiple machining processes into one highly efficient system.

Galvanized Steel Pipe

Galvanized Steel Pipe is a kind of Carbon Steel Pipe, mostly welded pipe, Galvanized steel pipes are divided into cold galvanized steel pipes (electro galvanized steel pipes) and hot-dip galvanized steel pipes. At present, hot-dip galvanized steel pipes are mainly used in fire protection, electric power and highways.

Galvanizing can increase the corrosion resistance of steel pipes and prolong their service life. Galvanized pipes are widely used. In addition to being used as pipeline pipes for water transmission, gas, oil and other general low-pressure fluids, they are also used as oil well pipes and oil transmission pipes in the petroleum industry, especially in offshore oil fields, as well as pipes for oil heaters, condensing coolers, coal distillation oil washing exchanges of chemical coking equipment, as well as trestle pipe piles, support frames of mine tunnels, etc.

Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG), as referenced is the process of dipping fabricated steel into a kettle or vat of molten zinc.

Hot-dip galvanizing (HDG) is the process of coating iron, steel or ferrous materials with a layer of zinc. This done by passing the metal through molten zinc at a temperature of 860°F (460°C) to form zinc carbonate (ZNC03). Zinc carbonate is a strong material that protects steel and can prevent corrosion in many circumstances. Hot-dip galvanizing can be carried out cheaply and in large batches.
