Beijing Gear Factory's mobile plant successfully completed the numerical control transformation of the straight bevel gear milling machine, becoming the first manufacturer in China to produce CNC straight bevel gear milling machines. This milestone marked a significant advancement in the country’s gear manufacturing industry.
Since the 1970s, North Gear Machinery Power Plant had been producing double-head straight bevel gear milling machines based on West German designs, making it the first in China to do so. As global machine tool technology moved toward full CNC automation, the plant began collaborating with Henan University of Science and Technology in 2005 to upgrade the Y2726 straight bevel gear milling machine.
The project started by using an existing imported machine for overhaul and restoration, aiming to restore the factory’s precision. The original mechanical hydraulic system was replaced with a Siemens digital control system. The cradle and indexing head transmission systems were redesigned and manufactured from scratch, while the original gearbox, machine wheel hanging mechanism, and counter were removed.
To integrate with the CNC system, the hydraulic system was modified, transitioning from manual to automatic control. Special hydraulic components were reduced, and the movement of the cradle and indexing head was now controlled by servo motors via the CNC system, enabling precise CNC machining of the milling teeth.
This upgraded CNC machine significantly simplified the complex process of calculating adjustment cards and machine settings. Operators could now input parameters, and the system would automatically display the required information on the screen. Additionally, the machine’s precision and surface finish improved by one level, reducing noise, enhancing product quality, and boosting production efficiency. These improvements earned strong recognition from users and set a new standard in the industry.
Cement additives are materials added to cement for the optimization of the cement properties and the cement grinding process. Cement additives are classified into different product groups such as grinding aids, strength enhancers and performance enhancers.
Grinding aids are used in order to reduce the electrostatic forces between cement particles and their agglomeration. Grinding aids most commonly consist of ethanolamines such as triethanolamine (TEA) and triisopropanolamine (TIPA) along with glycols such as diethylene glycol (DEG) and propylene glycol (PG).
