Baosteel Branch's 1550 electrogalvanizing unit has completed its expansion and transformation project, successfully going into operation. As of the end of October, it has already produced over 2,400 tons of electrogalvanized products. The first batch of O5-grade steel plates has been delivered to Changan Ford, marking a significant milestone for the unit.
The 1550 electrogalvanizing unit was officially shut down on September 17th, and the thermal load test was completed on October 22nd—two days ahead of schedule. Due to the tight timeline of the renovation, the construction team worked around the clock, operating 24 hours a day to meet deadlines. Baosteel Branch’s relevant departments closely coordinated with the construction teams, overcoming site constraints and successfully completing complex tasks such as the complete rearward movement of the unit’s tail equipment and the installation of new machinery. All efforts were aimed at ensuring that the production line could be connected and operational in one go.
Since the unit was linked to the test, the cold rolling mill equipment, production staff, foreign technical experts, and Baoxin software teams all provided full support during operations. This ensured that the unit's functions were fully restored, and both production efficiency and product quality saw rapid improvements. These achievements laid a solid foundation for stable and high-quality operations in November, demonstrating the unit's strong performance and potential for future growth.
